The  Pike

Fearing that recovery was not going to be enough to give EtU a good race up the Pike on Saturday I had drafted in extra help in the shape of my son to fight for the family honour.  In the event  he showed the way home to the rest of the four-strong family team, trailing in not too far behind the best of our wfdbwgua squad.  It was his first fell race and he enjoyed it far more the   road races he has tried in the past.  He did express disappointment that there is no longer hot pot waiting for runners back at the Crown.

Congratulations to KLM and T'Y , to Mary who I chased up the hill before losing loads of time on the way down, and to EtU's daughter Rachel (or should that be anagramatically El Rach?).
